The Kid

First of all, let me state that this is not a play by play of The Kid. This isn’t my story to tell. It belongs to Mr. Joey McIntyre and his creative team and I wouldn’t want to infringe on that.

Don’t get me wrong. We saw the show three times and my memory is ridiculously good when it comes to random things so I could recite half of the show for you. lol Instead, this is just a little overview of our experience seeing The Kid in Denver.

Our group flew into Denver Friday afternoon and got to the hotel just in time to get dressed and head to the theater. Of course we allowed enough time for a quick pre-show drink! After all, we had our priorities. We took 2 bicycle pedi-cabs from the hotel to the theater. That was quite the adventure in itself!

Pedi-Cab Ride

What Are You Doing Here?

For those of you who haven’t been, the theater is very intimate which I loved. Our seats were front row, center thanks to the great research of Tai’s husband Kirk. (I have to give a shout out to a BH husband who was willing to help us in our little quest right? There aren’t too many out there!)

Joe took the stage promptly at 7:30 so if you’re going to one of the remaining shows definitely don’t be late!

“Go be somebody”

So what’s The Kid about? If you saw his show on the cruise in 2012, a lot of the same subjects are covered with some additional material. But to quote Joe from the cruise “I’m sorta not fucking around anymore people. I’m sorta kinda not winging it anymore!”

The show follows Joe’s life from being a kid acting at the Footlight Club, to the years with New Kids on the Block and how he coped with being a “Boy Band Retiree,” all the way through meeting his wife and the birth of their children.

“It’s all show biz”

The Kid highlights Joe’s never ending quest to be on a stage. It explores the dynamics of his large, Irish Catholic family and ultimately how that shapes the man he has become and his interaction with his own kids, who turn out to be the “best audience ever.” It’s truly a story about finding your place in the world.

“JOOOOEEEEEY….I made you a quilt!”

There is definitely a lot of laughter and a few tears for both Joe and the audience. He is definitely in his element and we all ate it up. I think we could all relate to his description of the crazy fans back in the day. (…and maybe laugh a little at how some of it still rings true today! lol Oh Joe…if only you knew what really goes on!) Some of my favorite moments from the weekend were when Joe even cracked himself up!

The Music

The music obviously plays a large part in the show. This isn’t a comprehensive list by any means but I think it covers a lot of what he sings. (Hey, I’m doing this all from memory so cut me a little slack here people! Haha)

I’d Do Anything from Oliver
Please Don’t Go Girl
Us by Regina Spektor
If I Were a Boy by Beyonce
The Right Stuff
Stay the Same
Here We Go Again
Tonight
Love by Nat King Cole
See Her Smile from Tik Tik Boom
Someone Else’s Skin from Catch Me if You Can
Let Yourself Go by Irving Berlin
A few snippets from New Edition
Legend in Your Own Time by Carly Simon
Five Brothers and a Million Sisters

Miscellaneous Tidbits

We didn’t plan on going to the matinee on Saturday but decided to get tickets at the last minute. After the show that night, Joe asked what we did in Denver that day then quickly followed up with “Oh that’s right! You came to both shows!” Yes Joe, yes we did. Thanks for calling us out on that one buddy! lol

We also had breakfast at Sams, which I recommend, shopped at 16th street mall and of course made time for the all-important pre-show drinks! All in all, it was a quick, but fantastic, girl’s weekend.

Would I Go Again?

Absolutely! If you are thinking about seeing the show but haven’t bought your ticket yet, let me suggest you go ahead and do it. It’s a work in progress and each show has a few tweaks here and there which are interesting to see. It was great to get to see him in such a casual, intimate setting. I think we often forget that he’s just a regular guy going through the same everyday things we all do. So what are you waiting for? Go get your ticket!

Thank you to Joey McIntyre, Rob Lewis, Tai (@taisuire), Nikki (@nikkidubu) and Tracy (@joemacsginger) for a fun weekend in Denver!

NKOTB Cruise 2012

ImageThanks for checking out my cruise blog. I’m going to preface this by saying, you should check out my videos on YouTube to get a better picture of what went on. (User Name: MsHME79) http://www.youtube.com/user/MsHME79?feature=mhee

There is no way to fit everything that happened into one blog or capture the feelings in writing. So definitely check them out!

June 7th, 2012 – Day 1

My roommate Erin and I arrived at the Port of Miami around 10:00 am and got in line for security. Luckily, the line moved pretty quickly! Erin and I headed straight to will call to pick up our Private Oasis Cabana packet from Rose Tours. Luckily, I was able to meet up with everyone in the terminal and give them their wristbands and get that out of the way!

Erin, Kristina and I went through check in and waited around to board. We saw all of the guys get on the ship along with Naughty by Nature. We had a late boarding zone but one of the workers told us to go ahead and get in line early.

The first person we saw on Lido Deck was Treach from NBN taking pictures. So of course we had to go over and get our pictures taken too! Lunch was the next major priority for us. We met up with some of our other friends to eat on Lido.

Next thing you know, out comes Jordan. I got a quick sort of “hug” from him. Past cruisers will know that you can’t get into your rooms right away when you board so you have some of your stuff with you. Jordan walked right over to where our stuff was to lean over the railing to look out over the pool. Erin joked that he was trying to steal our spot. I joked that he was trying to steal our purses.

Not too long after Jordan made his appearance, Donnie came out on Lido. He made his way through the crowd with Victor, hugging and kissing people. I was lucky enough to get a kiss on the check before he headed downstairs. I joked that after that we could just go home.

Erin and I headed down to our room to put away some of our stuff and quickly put up our door decorations. I know I’m biased since it was my door, but I thought it turned out pretty well. As Joe would say, “Yes and Yes.”

We headed back up to Lido and met some new people hanging out by the pool. Then it was time to head to our muster station for the safety briefing. Fun fact of the day: fire is the most dangerous thing that can happen on a boat, which Donnie will remind Jared and Group B during NKOTB Squares a little later on…

One of the crew members opened up the door before she was supposed to and started letting us out early. Thanks to that Carnival Crew Member, we might not have had any idea what to do in an emergency, but we had amazing spots for the Sail Away Party! I heard passengers hid in their rooms so they didn’t have to go to the drill.

Joe of course came out for Sail Away with a drink in hand! The guys headed down into the crowd pretty quickly. My side got Danny for a long time. He signed autographs and took pictures. Jordan joined him and then Danny ventured over to the middle stage. Someone handed him 50 Shades of Gray to sign. He wanted to know if this was some “women empowerment shit.” Joe told him no that it’s some pornographic shit and that his wife has been reading it but he hasn’t seen any of the benefits. LOL Danny then said “Oh, so this is porn in a book? Why do I want to read this when I can go on the internet for my porn?”

Joe eventually made his way over to our platform and signed autographs and took pictures. By this point Erin had gotten Danny, Joe and Jordan to sign the front of my itinerary and we had some awesome photos and videos already. Erin handed Joe one of my Donnie for President stickers and he put it on which made my day.

Donnie had everyone take an unofficial cruise “oaf.”

“I, of sound body and mind (so far)

Do hereby pledge to spend the next four days having the time of my life.

I will leave everything behind…My worries, my fears, my husband.

I promise from this point forward to celebrate the gift of life and live it up like there’s no tomorrow.

For I deserve this shit.

I earned this shit.

So let me enjoy this shit on this hot damn ship!

Let’s Go!”

Once Sail Away was over we headed back to our cabin to see if our luggage had arrived yet. No such luck, so we headed to Palladium for NKOTB Squares. If you haven’t seen my videos of this definitely check them out on YouTube (User Name: MsHME79). Donnie and Joe acting out the quickest sex act by a mammal is something you don’t want to miss! Trust me on this one! No words can adequately describe it. Some of the best moments included:

  • Earl being asked the question “What is a black hole?” which Donnie followed up by saying, “the more appropriate question is “What is a big, black hole?”
  • Joe looking at Donnie during the quickest sex act enactment and saying “Are you going to fuck me right now?”
  • Donnie asking Jordan the question “If you had to, which New Kid would you?” Jon chimed in with “Incest is not Best.” Jordan said Donnie is known for the marshmallow but that he likes Danny’s ass; that Donnie is a good kisser; and that Joe sings to him. So he picked Joe. The contestants agreed and he said that answer was false. He then said he would like to say one more thing…”Taurus”
  • Jon took a nap through part of NKOTB Squares.

After the game show was over we headed back to our room and ordered room service. I have never eaten so many grilled cheese, tuna sandwiches and cheesecake as I did on that cruise! We got ready for red carpet night while waiting for our food. We headed out to Lido while Group A was still inside for their NKOTB Squares and got a spot up against the right stage/platform. We met some of the other So Cal girls who we ended up standing with almost every night at the deck parties! They made the parties so much fun!

A tip for all you future cruisers, do not waste your time making sure your hair is down and perfect. It’s so windy on Lido that it will be a mess in seconds!

The guys came out a little after midnight in their matching suits. Some highlights of the night included:

  • Donnie and Earl dancing to Ice Ice Baby
  • Jordan being on our stage dancing to Click Click Click; Dirty Dancing; Step by Step; Full Service; and Lights Camera Action. We also had Danny on our platform for a long time.
  • Erin got pulled up to dance with Donnie on the stage and got Jordan’s approval on her suit!

I think we headed to bed around 4:00 am or so.

June 8th, 2012 – Day 2

After a few hours of sleep we were up and in the Palladium Lounge ready to board our Tenders to Half Moon Cay by 9:15. I swear there is no sunscreen strong enough for the sun on HMC! Once we docked, we were escorted to the Grand Cabana, which was amazing! We put on some music and the food and alcohol began to flow! The staff was outstanding! Some of the girls headed into the water right away. They were bringing drinks directly out to the water so they could float them out on a raft to those in the water. LOL

The Chef was there to make us lunch. We could have BBQ chicken, fish, burgers, whatever! It was all so good!

Some of us walked over to get spots for the concert. About half of the cabana swam over with rafts to watch the show from the water and drink. We probably waited on the beach for close to an hour before the guys got to HMC. The concert was short by fun! I got some great shots. I was proud that the girls in my cabana started the chant for Joe to “take it off!” I got some great pictures during the concert.

After that they played some beach games. I headed back to the cabana to see if anyone was there. I found Erin asleep on the couch! LOL The whole group eventually made their way back to the cabana and hung out for a little while.

The line for the tenders was long but moved fairly quickly. Group A had a show that night but our Group didn’t. So when we got back to the ship Erin took a nap while I got ready for Up Close & Cuddly. Once we ate our room service (more sandwiches and cheesecake!), we headed out to Lido and back to our spot by the right stage/platform. It rained for a few minutes but luckily cleared up quickly!

The guys came out in their silk pajamas.  The deck parties are honestly such a blur that I highly recommend you watch the videos on YouTube. There are so many funny moments. Some highlights from tonight included:

  • Donnie informed us that without Tiffany they would be bartenders in Dorchester and Jon would never have touched a female’s insides. John admitted that was true! LMAO Jon then sang along to I Think We’re Alone Now an said “You Mother fuckers thought I didn’t know how to sing!”
  • This was the first night we sang Sweet Jonathan and Since You’ve Been Jon.
  • The Togas came back out in full force with some new additions to the army! (Johnny, Victor, Charlie and Earl all got to participate this year! Although Johnny forgot his toga in his room so he was still in his bathrobe.)
  • We got Victor and Donnie to both wear my Donnie for President stickers.
  • We definitely got up close and personal with Donnie, Danny, Joe and Jordan on the stage!
  • I loved talking to the camera guys during the parties. They were great!
  • Erin got a kiss from Joe after he read her sign that said “Our Dad says our Mom can Kiss NKOTB” with a pic of her kids.
  • Donnie pulled the honeymooners up on the middle stage and Jordan sang I’ll Be Loving You Forever to them.

I think we headed back to our room around 4:00 or 4:30 am and headed to bed.

June 9th, 2012 – Day 3

We got to sleep in today! Group A had their photo op starting at 9:00 but Group B didn’t start until 3:00! Lucky us! NKOTBingo took place on Lido but we didn’t go. We ate lunch and then met up with our photo group to get in line. We were probably the 4th or 5th group to go in for Group B. Donnie was getting a back rub from someone in one of the earlier groups. I don’t know how long she got to stick around for. Even though Victor had instructed everyone to go directly to their guy, each group still went ahead and went down the line and hugged every one.

On a side note, when you get the chance to compare them like that, Jon really does give the best hugs! LOL

Erin and I stood with Joe for the photo op. She said she had lost her voice and he told her it was sexy. He really is too cute for words. I think an awful lot of girls might have switched over to Joe as their favorite after this cruise!

We went back to our cabin with our photo group and had mimosas and watched some NKTV and chatted. After that we ordered food and got ready for Evening Wood and Joe McIntyre: Man in Progress.

Danny was really good. Some of his lyric sheets were missing. He said this wouldn’t happen to Joe. LOL Kristina yelled out “Shouldn’t you know the words?” He said “You know…I do know the words but we’ve been a little busy lately!” Other girls yelled “Take it Off!” He asked “What happened to the appreciation of real music?” He had fun with it though. He did maybe 5 or 6 songs playing guitar.

Then it was Joe’s turn. I have posted the entire show on YouTube. You really do have to watch it to appreciate it. We laughed, we cried. It was an emotional roller coaster and the audience loved every minute of it! Rob Lewis was great too!

After the show we quickly changed for 90’s night and headed out to our now familiar spot on Lido. By now, I had become known as the videographer of the group! LOL Lido was getting crazier and crazier every night!

Joe’s outfit for the night was hysterical – backwards everything, sagging jeans, bandana. We got a handful of his ass helping him up on stage with just his boxer briefs between him and us. ::Sigh:: Memories…LOL

He pulled Kristina up on stage right away in her power ranger outfit. Danny’s layers didn’t stay on too long because it was so hot! There was almost no breeze that night. Victor commented about how hot it was. We said “No shit! We’ve been out here for 3 hours waiting in this heat!” LOL

NBN was a great addition to the cruise!!!!

Donnie made some comment that night about having a strong tongue and Treach said he shouldn’t put all his business out there. Donnie said “They already know all my business!”

Once again we got to sing along to Sweet Jonathan! No one has any idea what the lyrics are to that song except the chorus! Donnie’s verses consist of “blah blah blah blah.” LOL

June 10th, 2012 – Day 4

We had the pleasure of heading to the visual immigration check in Palladium at 8:00 am. As Joe said during the Town Hall that afternoon “Never Again!” We went straight back to bed after that. I still don’t know who Sonja is but after she didn’t go to the immigration check, they kept paging her every 15 minutes to come to Palladium. Even Jon called her out during the Town Hall!

We headed out to Key West to grab lunch at hard rock and then went back to the ship. Danny had been busy signing doors so we were excited to see he had signed ours twice. Then it was time for Town Hall.

I posted the entire Town Hall on YouTube so check it out if you want to hear the questions and answers. It was pretty hot on Lido Deck! Joe stuck around on Lido after the Town Hall for a long time and took pictures. After Erin and I got our pictures with him we headed to the Back Rub and Jordan’s Show.

Really, there are no words to describe the Back Rub. You can’t record it or take pictures. Let just say it involved whipped cream, handcuffs and bananas. The lucky ladies that got pulled up to participate definitely gave Donnie a run for his money!

One of the girls was scared to be up there, especially after he blindfolded her. Donnie eventually had her sit back down. But the other 3 women were fantastic and were really into it! Poor Johnny ::clap clap:: spent the entire time spreading rose petals on the floor for Donnie to walk on and bringing him his props. Gotta love his job!

Jordan did his entire Live & Unfinished show. It was just as good as the other two times I have seen it! The rockstars were awesome!

Then it was on to GPS Love Fest! This was one of the best nights on Lido! We switched back to the left stage that night. Donnie had warned everyone that no one was sleeping tonight! My videos from GPS turned out great. Some of the highlights included:

  • Jon appearing in front of us on our platform in his Canadian Mounty outfit. It was classic!! Jordan sang Oh Canada to him.
  • This was also the night I got my second Donnie kiss, this one on the lips. I think we had a moment. LMAO
  • Jordan shaking his ass to Sexy and I Know It.
  • I got to touch the Marshmallow while helping Donnie back up on stage.
  • Joe dancing on our platform like a man possessed!
  • Danny crowd surfing over to us.
  • Singing Sweet Jonathan one time with cue cards! Karaoke with Jon!
  • We got to see the sun rise as we pulled into Miami.

There was definitely no sleeping that night. We through our stuff in our bags, hoped they still closed and were ready to disembark by 8:00 am!

This blog doesn’t adequately describe just how much fun this whole trip was. I had no idea what to expect and it couldn’t have gone any better!!! Unless you have experienced it for yourself, there are no words!

LA West Coast Town Hall

Last’s night’s town hall meeting was a blast! It’s always great getting to see my girls! Here’s my recap of the night (and a very long afternoon!)

I got to Santa Monica High School a little before 1:00. My plan was to get there at 12 but traffic delayed me a bit. The line started forming around 11:30 but I was still in the first 10 to arrive. There definitely needs to be a better system to handle the line ups for events like this. Some of the girls tried to keep it organized but as more and more people came that system broke down.

We got let in a little before 7. I don’t know what time it actually was because of not having my phone. Side Note: There were definitely phone withdrawals going on in line!

I was sitting right up front so that made the wait worth it! They handed out signs, posters and buttons to the crowd. Some of the guys working the event were having fun with it. Some looked a little scared of the mob of women! lol

There was a brief delay after Joe was introduced as the campaign manager and him actually coming on. He did what I imagine was the same speech from the other town halls. This time he said he had to be honest with all of us and his bandmates that he had had 2 margaritas before coming in. Lets just say that Joe is on fire after a few margaritas! lol He talked about the headline saying that Boy Bands are Back! He said they are about 4 years too late on that! And that no they don’t have any advice for the new crop of boy bands. Let them live and die with their own dance moves and songs. lol

He introduced Jordan as the Ambassador. Jordan came out to “Lets Go Higher” did a short speech and then turned it back over to Joe. Joe said this campaign is not about 1 person as evidenced by the fact that there were now 2 people on stage! Joe then introduced Donnie as the president in what he described as not the best introduction Donnie has ever received but certainly the longest! He said this campaign did in fact start with 1 person way back in the day in Dorchester…Donnie came out and did his best presidential campaign speech. He then introduced Danny as his running mate. Danny said he was running to represent all the single people. He said “Single people have rights too!” One of the best lines of the night. He said he’s not looking for a running mate, that he’s looking for a soul mate! That of course got a huge reaction from the crowd and the guys! Joe then said the campaign needed some honesty and introduced Jon as the only “Reluctant Rockstar” in the group and he was someone who could cut anyone down in 140 characters and most recently referred to Perez Hilton as a “Twat.” That of course also got a huge reaction! Jon was introduced as the Secretary of Housing and Development. Jordan’s facial expressions were hysterical throughout all of the intros.

After all the intros the questions started:

  • Someone asked about what producers or artists they were working with on the new album. Donnie starting giving a “campaign” response and then said that the album is still in its infancy but that they are working with a young songwriter named Red Hot. He mentioned that right now he was probably more like blue and cold. Joe commented about that shout out. lol Donnie also said we can expect some musical surprises coming our way before the album comes out.
  • A girl said she had created her own scent called something like DDubs Sweat and asked if he wanted to smell it. He said since he doesn’t shower that often he knows what he smells like. He came over and asked how she wanted him to smell it. She put some on her chest. He said this was very unpresidential but he leaned down and smelled her. He said it wasn’t as salty as he tends to be. That maybe it should be called DDub’s After Shower Baby Powder.
  • Someone asked about more collaborations in the future like Boyz II Men. Donnie kept talking about how he doesn’t want to make false promises but in the end said that there would be something in the future with Boyz II Men.
  • Someone asked about doing more events like a day at Disneyland. Donnie said that he can’t promise that because they’ll end up at the wrong Disney and everyone will be all up in arms! Joe commented it could be called “Prom Night Reunions.” They did say that they are looking to do more multiple day events like the cruise in the future. Joe went down memory lane talking about how when he was 16 they would stay at the Ramada Inn by Disneyland. It was at the height of their success and that there was a McDonalds across the street. He wanted to go to McDonalds himself and get his cheeseburger and coke, which he said the other guys gave him a hard time about his “little boy meal.” He didn’t want a bodyguard to go get it, he wanted to go! He said he walked across the parking lot over to McDonalds to get his cheeseburger and coke and stood in line for the most stressful 5 minutes of his life! lol He then went right back to the Ramada Inn.
  • Someone asked about letting first time cruisers get priority over past cruisers to get on the cruise. Donnie asked if she was going on the cruise. She said no because she was having surgery on her leg. He asked if she had ever been on a cruise. She said no, she was always wait listed. He said something like “Ma’am, I don’t understand your question. You’re asking for priority on a cruise that you can’t go on?” lol He said something about the cruisers that have gone every year but I didn’t hear what he said. Then he said that they try to improve the cruise every year and that they try to make each and every person on that boat feel special. He said that they have already upgraded the boat once and that if demand stays high then maybe they will do it again. That was met with some boos from the audience. Joe then said maybe they will do 2 cruises a year! on 40 person yachts! I told you all Joe was on fire last night! lol
  • Leah said she ran in the Hollywood Half Marathon last weekend and asked if Joe would sign her medal. She then asked if he had any plans to start groups for runners like Danny does with Team Betty. Joe said it was finally time for his “Hug Time!” He explained that she had signed up on his crowd rise site and had raised a lot of money. He said he would have to pick Danny’s brain to see about getting something like that set up. He went off to the side and talked to her for a few minutes.
  • There was a middle school age boy that asked Donnie for tips since Donnie gets all the girls! Donnie said he hadn’t gotten the memo that he got all the girls, but that he was pretty sure the kid just had a room full of women fall in love with him. He said he just needed to be himself, unless he wasn’t a good person, then he should be someone else. lol He said a sweet, sensitive guy like himself wouldn’t have any problems getting girls.
  • A girl from Brazil asked if they were coming to Brazil. Donnie said he could not confirm that they would not be going to Brazil. That was definitely lost in translation. So he kept repeating it and Jordan said “There’s a chance.” Donnie said that’s not what he’s saying. That there is no chance they are not coming to Brazil. The girls around the mic were telling her they were saying they are coming.
  • Will they consider doing a game for the Xbox or Wii? Jordan commented that Step by Step is on Just Dance. Donnie mentioned how they were cautious about doing things like games, especially after the cartoons and cereal. Joe whispered something to Donnie and Donnie said that his campaign manager had corrected him that the cereal never came out. He asked if anyone remembered what it was supposed to be called and none of the guys could. He said it was New Kids Chex or something and that it was awful. Danny wanted it to be healthy. Donnie wanted it to be full of marshmallows. lol
  • Someone asked if the next DVD could have subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Jordan said they would have to look into that technology and see if it’s available. He was starting to get into the “Campaign” answers. lol Joe ran over and whispered to him. Jordan then said he was informed that they do have that technology so that’s a done deal.
  • The next girl said she loved them collaborating with other people like BSB but that she was greedy and wanted them on stage alone. Joe commented that “some people like the pee breaks!” lol  Jordan said that conversely, they don’t like sharing us with other people either.
  • Someone asked about a cruise leaving from the West Coast. A girl held up a sign that said Cruise to Cabo in 2013 that Jordan pointed out. They said if there is enough demand that it’s something they could consider.
  • Someone asked about changing the 5* to something like Jordan’s brunches. She said she liked being able to have a conversation with them. Donnie replied with, kind of like you’re doing now, at a Town Hall? lol Jordan said 5* with eggs and bacon and syrup shots! Donnie said that its difficult to do with 250 people. That you might be sitting there with your eggs and bacon but never get one of them. Jordan also said it’s hard to do on tour since they often leave right after the show for the next city. They commented that it’s great that Jordan can do stuff like that when he’s out doing shows because it gives the fans the chance to see them individually. They said they would have to pick Jordan’s brain on how he did it but that it would be difficult to do before a show. Donnie did say that they have tried to improve the 5* over the years, He said if you remember back to the first ones, Robo was taking the pictures! He said they heard everyone’s complaints and that for $500 you want a decent picture without Robo’s fingertips in the picture! So they have their professional photographer they take on tour because that’s what the people wanted. He repeated several times throughout the night how they really do listen and try to improve for us.
  • Someone asked about them being more involved on nkotb.com with Chats, Video Chats, etc. Jordan again said they would have to look into the technology…lol Donnie said he promises to schedule a chat while they are overseas and that if it can be video he will make it happen. He said he promises it will happen and it will be him. He said they will schedule and announce it. Joe said he would be there too.
  • The “Memphis Twins” got up and asked for more events in the south and gave them all dry erase boards with stuff written on them. Jordan asked if he could read his out loud. It said something like We hereby give Jordan Knight permission to spank our Southern Asses…Joe commented that “You all are probably thinking the same thing we did when we first met these girls…Are they for real? Let me tell you, THEY ARE FOR REAL!”
  • Someone else asked about doing a memorial on the cruise for BH’s that they have lost over the years. Donnie said that if it could be done tastefully that it was something to consider. He mentioned that the poker tournament was dedicated to the memory of a BH.
  • Someone said she was at the final table of the poker tournament and asked Joe what her favorite drink was. He thought about it and said “SEX ON THE BEACH BITCH!” He got up and hugged her and signed her poster. He explained how she had been at Donnie’s final table and that’s how he knew that and then said “Sorry for calling you a bitch.” lol I think she followed up with the BH memorial question.
  • Miss Tattoo asked about them incorporating fans on stage during shows. Jordan said let’s start right now! and called her up on stage to sing I’ll be Loving You Forever with him. When it was her turn the audience started singing and he had everyone stop so she had to sing. lol It was funny.
  • There was another west coast cruise question suggesting a cruise to Hawaii.
  • Someone asked if they would be willing to get behind some of the causes that are important to the fans. Joe said he thought that was a great idea since we always step up whenever they ask us to. He said he knows there are a lot of causes out there but maybe they could pick one a month and tweet/blog about it, etc.

After all the questions, we watched the Fenway video and then the guys came back on stage. Donnie said he was suspending his campaign for President of Block Nation but that he was nominating Jon Knight! Joe said the scandal that caused Donnie to step down would air on CNN at midnight. lol They said in all sincerity that they do listen to everyone’s comments and that they appreciate the feedback. That they think this is a special relationship between them and us. Donnie said he thought they were done with the Town Halls after the first three but that it was Joe that said “What about the West Coast?” That of course got a huge response from the crowd. Joe ran up to front of the stage and posed and ate it all up. Donnie continued that Joe said if they did 3 days of 9 hour rehearsals could they schedule some time to fit in a Town Hall in LA. Danny reminded Donnie to tell us that there was a big announcement coming on Monday.

Here is all of the other random stuff I remember from the night:

  • Donnie said there will be no more “Donnie Time.” He’s not making promises on when things will happen anymore because he doesn’t want to break those promises. He said he’s promised a west coast party 50 damn times and that we’re still waiting all pissed off. lol
  • Jon and Jordan both had their phones out during the Q&A. Jon looked like he took some pictures.
  •  During one of the earlier questions, Jon tried to comment but his mic wasn’t on. He just threw it over his head behind him and pouted. lol the audience started chanting “Jon Jon Jon.” Joe let him use his mic but he said he forgot what he was going to say. It was a good moment for the Reluctant Rockstar! lol

They left pretty quickly once they got off stage. All of their cars were waiting right outside the back entrance to the theater. They all stopped and gave a few hugs before getting in the cars.

All in all it was a great event! Thank you to NKOTB, Jon, Jordan, Danny, Joe and Donnie for a memorable night!
